"O U R S T O R Y In 2012, when I was pregnant with my daughter, Lily, my world as a mom started taking shape as I sought to create a colorful nursery for my baby girl. Pastel colors associated with nurseries did not interest me, but I found it difficult to find art and decor that fit the cheerful, whimsical room I was imagining. So, I took my graphic design background and started making the kind of art I wanted to see in her room, featuring bold colors, whimsical designs and words that inspired me, filled me with nostagia, and felt like home.
What began as designing a couple art prints for my girl grew into a shop full of colorful art, decor and handmade gifts. Lil'Roo embraces what childhood should be all about.
I'm Shannon Sorensen. I'm passionate about creating pieces that celebrate the imagination, creativity, and kids being kids. In our home, we love books, music, making fairy gardens and messes. We have epic dance parties and love going on adventures (especially to the ice cream shoppe). We find joy in the little things.
When Lily dresses up and let's her imagination run wild, my heart sings. When Roo smiles and giggles, the world seems brighter. At the end of the day, after bathtime and brushing our teeth, I'm filled with peace and comfort as Lil and Roo snuggle up to me in their room to read books and sing songs. It's truly a happy place that brings me comfort. That's what Lil'Roo is all about - playful , beautiful kiddos and the young at heart adults who love them most.

Violette Tide Studios
About Violette Tide Studios:
"Welcome! Violette Tide Studios is the art portfolio of Leah Bares. I work primarily in watercolor, a medium that I love because it requires a delicate balance of control and spontaneity, often producing unexpected colors and forms that are both precise and imperfect.
I grew up south of Boston, Massachusetts, and currently live near the beach in Plymouth, MA with my husband, baby, and Newfoundland dog. My bloodline consists of fishermen and artists, which is why it is only natural that I would find myself painting watercolors of the sea. I enjoy spending time exploring outdoors, I especially enjoy beach combing, fishing, clamming, growing succulents and gardening - all of which inspires my artwork."
